The Masked Singer UK has cemented itself as an ITV entertainment juggernaut with a double season order for series six and seven, along with digital spin-off The After Mask.

The hit format, which originates in Korea and airs on Fox in the U.S., will return in the coming years via the rare double recommission.

Hosted by Joel Dommett, The Masked Singer sees celebrities dress up in costumes and perform songs to a group of judges including Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan, with one unmasked per episode. Past winners have included Joss Stone, Nicola Roberts and Natalie Imbruglia.

In The After Mask, produced in conjunction with Strong Watch Studios and hosted by Harriet Rose, there will be discussion and games about the night’s episode with the host and judges.

Elton John is on the mend following a “severe eye infection” that the singer says has left him partially blind.

The singer shared an update on social media, in which he opened up about his health, revealing that he got an eye infection earlier this year.

“Over the summer, I’ve been dealing with a severe eye infection that has unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye,” read a statement from John on Instagram. “I am healing, but it’s an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye.”

He continued, “I am so grateful for the excellent team of doctors and nurses and my family, who have taken such good care of me over the last several weeks.”

A selection of classic episodes from Australian soap “Neighbours” will stream on Amazon Freevee from Feb. 23 ahead of the new season that is due to commence later this year.

These will include episodes featuring actors Margot Robbie, Russell Crowe, Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, Guy Pearce, Natalie Imbruglia and Liam Hemsworth, all of whom cut their teeth on the show. The drop will include the all episodes from the 2012 season.

The library content will be available exclusively on Amazon Freevee in the U.S. and U.K. Amazon Prime Video subscribers in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland, and South Africa will also have access to the previous seasons and episodes.

“Neighbours” ran for more than three decades and nearly 9,000 episodes before being canceled in 2022 when the show’s primary funder, U.K.’s Channel 5, pulled out. Freevee then picked up the rights from “Neighbours” producer and distributor Fremantle.

Olivia Rodrigo marked the two-year anniversary of her breakout single, “Drivers License,” with a message looking toward the future — and new music.

On Instagram Stories yesterday, Jan. 8, Rodrigo shared a short video of her and producer Dan Nigro laughing and headbanging along to some pretty tender and delicate piano chords. “Working on so many new songs I’m excited to show u!” Rodrigo wrote. “Thank u for everything.”

That was the extent of the message, with Rodrigo declining to offer any specifics as to when this new music might be released.

Chloe Lattanzi struggled to hold back tears as she paid tribute to her late mother Olivia Newton-John at the Aria Awards on Thursday.

Natalie Imbruglia mentioned that Lattanzi had been at the Arias in 2002 when Newton-John was inducted into the Hall of Fame.

She then said that Lattanzi had a few words to say as the ceremony paid tribute to her mom, who died on August 8 at age 73 after a decades-long battle with breast cancer.

The creator of the DC Comics series Pennyworth has revealed the reason behind the widely ridiculed title change.

Earlier this year, it was announced that the series would be retitled Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman’s Butler for its third season, prompting a wave of derision on social media.

Speaking at New York’s Comic Con, series creator Bruno Heller outlined the thinking behind the change.

“HBO Max did their research, and they discovered a fair few people who had watched and enjoyed the first few seasons of Pennyworth, but had not realised it was about Batman,” he told EW.

“They just thought it was about a bloke who left the army.”

He went on to describe this lack of context as “a bit of an error, in terms of our conceptualisation”.

Charlie Puth has claimed that Ellen DeGeneres’s record label “disappeared” after he recorded his first EP, as he discussed Greyson Chance’s recent allegations against the presenter.

Last month, former teen pop star Greyson Chance spoke out against DeGeneres, claiming that she had “controlled” and then “completely abandoned” him after signing him to her now-defunct record label, eleveneleven, in 2010, when he was 12.

The presenter originally discovered Chance after a clip of him singing Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” went viral, with DeGeneres inviting the pre-teen on her show and starting a trend in which she would often interview the stars of popular internet videos.

DeGeneres has not responded to the claims, although sources claimed that the presenter “went above and beyond” for Chance.

Coldplay is currently touring in support of their most recent album Music of the Spheres.

Coldplay, Natalie Imbruglia, and Jacob Collier performed a cover of “Summer Nights” in tribute to Olivia Newton-John, who died last week, during a concert at London’s Wembley Stadium.

During the performance, Imbruglia sang Newton-John’s part of the Grease hit while Coldplay’s Chris Martin took on John Travolta’s part. Collier joined him during the chorus, with much of the audience singing along.

At another point in Coldplay’s headlining performance, the band joined Imbruglia for a duet of “Torn,” Imbruglia’s 1997 debut single.

Three million British viewers tuned in to the final episode of Australian soap Neighbours, waving off a TV stalwart after 37 years. The double-episode special drew this peak audience as the show drew to a close, according to overnight figures, with an average audience of 2.5million.

The hour-long finale aired on Friday evening in the UK on Channel 5. Fans took to social media with praise for the last show, which recruited star alumnae Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan. Margot Robbie made a cameo appearance from Los Angeles, while singers Natalie Imbruglia and Holly Valance filmed a scene from London, where they both live.

Fans’ biggest praise came for Guy Pearce, who reprised his role of Mike Young throughout the hour-long episode and committed wholeheartedly to his narrative arc, which saw him reunited with his school sweetheart Jane, played by Annie Jones.

The “Neighbours” finale on Network 10 topped the ratings Thursday, drawing in 1.2 million overnight viewers nationally.

Of these, 873,000 watched from the five metro markets of Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth. It was most popular in its home city of Melbourne , with 343,000.

The ratings for the final episode were far higher than the lead-up episodes this week, with Monday’s drawing 156,000, Tuesday’s 139,000 and Wednesday’s 163,000. Indeed the finale was the highest-rating episode of “Neighbours” since July 2009, Network 10 said.

Thursday night’s finale went to air across both 10 Peach, the digital multi-channel which has been home to “Neighbours” in recent years, as well as the primary channel, Channel 10.

It included the return of superstars who launched their careers on the program, including Kylie Minogue, Margot Robbie, Delta Goodrem, Natalie Imbruglia, Holly Valance and Guy Pearce.

The official Twitter account for the show revealed the news ahead of its series finale, which will air later this week. The show wrapped filming in June after 37 years on the air.

Early in her career, Robbie portrayed teen Donna on Neighbours from 2008-11.

Robbie reportedly filmed her appearance from Los Angeles. She will join other famous alumni in returning for the series’ end, including Kylie Minogue, Guy Pearce, Natalie Imbruglia and more.

The show, which premiered in 1985, centers on a group of people who live and work in Erinsborough, a fictional suburb of Melbourne. It holds the record as Australia’s longest-running drama.

Margot Robbie will delight fans with an unexpected appearance in the finale of Australian soap Neighbours, it has been revealed.

The I Tonya star, who appeared in the soap as teenager Donna Freedman from 2008 to 2011, has filmed her appearance from Los Angeles.

Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia joined Olivia Rodrigo on stage in London Wednesday for a performance of her 1997 chart-topping single, “Torn.” The performance comes just days after the “Good 4 U” singer covered the song during a surprise appearance at a dive bar in Manchester.

“Torn” was first recorded by Danish singer Lis Sørensen in 1993 before Los Angeles-based alt-rock band Ednaswap, who wrote the song, released their own version the following year. Calhoun knows a lot about long plays. She signed beloved R&b artist Kehlani to the publishing and label group in February, after five years of conversation. “There were just a lot of things, deal-wise, that needed to be worked out,” Calhoun says. “She was really focused on building out her catalog and her worth, which she did. “The Masked Singer” brings together its nine remaining Season 3 contestants, dubbed the “Super Nine,” for the first time on Wednesday’s special two-hour episode. Those costumed celebrities are the ones who made it through the championships rounds for Group A, B and C over the first nine episodes of the Fox singing competition’s third season.
