Eric Carmen, the former frontman of The Raspberries and power pop hitmaker behind songs like “Go All the Way,” “I Wanna Be With You,” “All By Myself,” and “Hungry Eyes,” has died at the age of 74.
Carmen passed away in his sleep over the weekend, his wife Amy announced on Monday. A cause of death was not disclosed.
“It brought him great joy to know, that for decades, his music touched so many and will be his lasting legacy,” Amy wrote in a statement.
Carmen was a musical prodigy from a young; at the age of three, he began taking piano lessons at Cleveland Institute of Music. In middle school, after hearing The Beatles, The Who, and The Rolling Stones, he taught himself how to perform guitar and began playing in local bands.
In the late 1960s, Carmen teamed up with fellow Cleveland musicians Wally Bryson, Jim Bonfanti, and Dave Smalley to form The Raspberries.

Small towns hide secrets. They’re typically really good at it too because the smaller the town it seems the darker the secret they are trying to hide. If you grew up in a tiny Midwest town like I did you would know this to be gospel. Southern noir or Southern Gothic is a special sort of genre that when done right shines a sinister light on those secrets. Add some good old good vs evil to the mix and the supernatural and you’ve got something special. In the case of todays series you had the best of all of these mixed into a twisted, beautiful, epic masterpiece that came happened to be co-launched by a master of horror named Sam Raimi and a gent more known for solving mysteries than writing them… a Hardy Boy himself Shaun Cassidy. The show is one of my favorite TV series of all time,...

C’mon get happy! In the 1970s TV series The Partridge Family, a group of musical siblings shoot to fame thanks to a catchy single and head out on the road with their mom. The show, which aired from 1970–74, was a pop culture phenomenon and made stars out of its young cast, including David Cassidy and Susan Dey.
Sadly, life after The Partridge Family wasn’t so kind to all the show’s actors. While some had successful post-show careers in Hollywood, others struggled with personal issues. Others dropped out of the spotlight altogether. Here’s a look at The Partridge Family cast and which stars are still alive.

If the 14th annual TCM Classic Film Festival had an official focus, it was on the 100th anniversary of Warner Bros., from the opening night premiere selection of a restoration of “Rio Bravo” to a celebration of the 50th anniversary of “The Exorcist.” Almost equal in emphasis, though, by virtue of the guests brought in, was a celebration of the ingenues-turned-leading-ladies of the 1960s, who now represent the elder guard of a Hollywood golden age — Angie Dickinson, Ann-Margret and Shirley Jones.
Dickinson had the highest profile of any star at the festival, being the belle of the ball at the Thursday screening of “Rio Bravo” in the big house at the Tcl Chinese Theatres, where most of the screenings were held. But there was just as much outpouring of affection for Ann-Margret, who turned up for a Q&a (and birthday cake) following “Bye Bye Birdie” on Saturday, and Jones,...

Everyone has to start somewhere and exactly where that place may be is often of pretty dubious quality or (at the very least) rather surprising for some of today’s biggest names in the film industry. For example, we all know Jennifer Aniston had her start with Leprechaun, a film she’d probably rather forget (although we think it’s a lot of fun). Now, with current streaming services pulling all kinds of older films and television shows into their libraries, fans can get the chance to see some of those questionable choices that most likely were made to pay the bills. Here are a few of our favorites:
Elisabeth Moss in Surburban Commando (1991)
While not her very first credit, this is the Mad Men & Handmaid’s Tale star’s first feature film and it’s a doozy. For anyone not familiar with it, it’s an action comedy starring...

The story would see a group of fiercely determined young women aiming to win big at the National Championship of Rodeo. It is not yet known if the project will be shopped to other networks. However, we do know that NBC is moving forward with a reboot of Bakula’s popular sci-fi series Quantum Leap. NBC has ordered the drama “Found” to series, Variety has learned. In addition, the network is passing on its pilots “Blank Slate” and “Unbroken.”
“Found” hails from writer and executive producer Nkechi Okoro Carroll with Shanola Hampton set for the lead role. The show is built around the fact that, in any given year, more than 600,000 people are reported missing in the U.S. More than half that number are people of color that the country seems to forget about. Public relations specialist Gabi Mosley (Hampton) — who was once herself one of those forgotten ones — and her crisis management team now make sure there is always someone looking out for the forgotten missing people. But unbeknownst to anyone, this everyday hero is hiding a chilling secret of her own.
The show also stars Brett Dalton, Gabrielle Walsh, Arlen Escarpeta, Karan Oberoi, with Kelli Williams, and Mark-Paul Gosselaar.

NBC continues to plow ahead with pilot orders.
The network has picked up two projects – Dean Georgaris’ agent drama The Blank Slate and The Irrational, Arika Mittman’s adaptation of book Predictably Irrational, to pilot.
The orders mean that NBC has now ordered six drama pilots for the 2022/23 season following the likes of the Quantum Leap reboot, missing persons drama Found from Nkechi Okoro Carroll, ranch drama Unbroken from Shaun Cassidy and a remake of Dutch drama series A’dam & Eva from Mike Daniels.
Written by The Brave creator Georgaris, Blank Slate is a high-concept procedural about a government agent who may not be what he seems.
Special Agent Alexander McCoy is a legend in law enforcement, the agent we all hope is out there, the agent we’d all like to be. The only issue is … he doesn’t actually exist. He’s a ghost, a phantom. So what...

Yellowstone is a bonafide hit, so it makes sense that other networks would try to bring similar shows to the air.
NBC has ordered a pilot called Unbroken from Shaun Cassidy.
The series follows a trio of rival ranch families.
"Three dynastic ranch families on the central coast of California make love and war in a passionate struggle to survive, ultimately setting the stage for a group of fiercely determined young women to win big for all at the National Championship of Rodeo," reads the logline.
Granted, there are some differences to Paramount Network's heavy-hitting Taylor Sheridan series.
Yellowstone Season 4 drew record ratings and has birthed two spinoffs, so it is one of the most popular shared TV universes at this stage.
NBC also has two other pilots in the works, with Found and Quantum Leap.

Shaun Cassidy is stepping into the ranch family drama game with “Unbroken,” a drama pilot ordered by NBC. The show, which hails from Universal Television and Shaun Cassidy Productions, centers on three dynastic ranch families on the central coast of California, who make love and war in a passionate struggle to survive. Ultimately, this sets the stage for a group of fiercely determined young women to win big for all at the National Championship of Rodeo.
Cassidy will write and executive produce the pilot episode. If the series gets fully picked up by NBC, it will join a modern resurgence of westerns on TV — “Yellowstone” and “1883” on Paramount Network, “Walker” on the CW and western-adjacent shows like “The Mandalorian” on Disney Plus, “Westworld” on HBO Max, plus new Latinx vineyard family series “Promised Land” on ABC.
Cassidy, a singer, actor, writer and producer, is no stranger to the television landscape on-screen or behind-the-scenes.

On The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ellen DeGeneres, 60, challenged her pal Jennifer Aniston, 49, to a game of Burning Questions — in which the guest (and sometimes the host) had to provide honest answers to quirky queries.

“Watch TV,” the Office Christmas Party actress responded.
DeGeneres was surprised. “You watch TV naked?” she asked incredulously.
“Yeah,” Aniston replied. “Is that weird? I mean at night, you get into bed and you watch TV.

Seven months after David Cassidy's untimely death, shocking new details about the singer's final years have come to light. In A&E's original "biography" documentary special David Cassidy: The Last Session, it was revealed that The Partridge Family star was suffering from alcoholism that caused dementia prior to his untimely death. "Dementia is a set of symptoms and it can be caused by a lot of things. It can be caused by Alzheimer's. It can be caused by trauma to the brain or it can be caused by alcoholism or drug use, so the question isn't really if David did have dementia because he certainly did have the signs of memory loss and dementia like symptoms. The question really was for David what caused the dementia and so I don't think all the stories about him lying or deceiving anyone... I think it's really about him coming to terms with his struggles,...

Fort Lauderdale, Fla – He was the heart throb-iest of the teen heart throbs when he came onto the scene in the early 1970s. David Cassidy was the driving force of the manufactured-for-tv pop act The Partridge Family, which provided a soundtrack for their era. Cassidy died in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at the age of 67, on November 21st, 2017.
David Cassidy fought the demons of his sudden fame for virtually the rest of his life after the Partridge Family era, admitting an alcohol problem after being arrested for a DUI in 2013. Earlier this year, he announced that he was living with non-Alzheimer’s dementia, which ran in his family. But during the burst of infamy he had in the early 1970s, there was no greater beloved pin-up teen than Cassidy, who ushered in a parade of dreamy 1970s boys like Donny Osmond, Vincent Van Patten, Leif Garrett and his half brother, Shaun Cassidy.

Bill Medley, the surviving half of the Righteous Brothers, still recalls that moment he visited the New York offices of RCA Records in 1988. Medley was escorted into a spacious room with a wall completely lined with platinum album plaques. “My God,” Medley says. “It was Number One all over the world. And they gave me all of those awards. I gave some of them out as Christmas presents.”

Daniel Dae Kim is now a producer on ABC’s “The Good Doctor,” but the shadow of leaving “Hawaii Five-0” is still hanging over him. At the Television Critics Association press tour on Sunday, Kim addressed his exit from the long-running CBS series.
“[‘Hawaii Five-0’] was a really important part of my life for seven years,” he told reporters during the panel for “The Good Doctor.” “I’m really grateful to CBS and everyone involved in the show for the opportunity. I’ve known [CBS executives] Kelly [Kahl] and Thom Sherman for a while, Thom all the way back to my days on ‘Lost.’ I’ve gotten to know them and I like them, and I’m grateful for the words that they said on the panel the other day. That said, it’s possible to be grateful for the opportunity and have respect for your colleagues and still maintain a steadfast sense of your self-worth.

The celebrities we’re most psyched to see throwing down in events like the kayak relay race and dunk tank:
