Peter Sattler was born in Lafayette, IN and studied film at the North Carolina School of the Arts. He is a writer and director most well known for his directorial debut Camp X-ray and also as a writer of the 2023 film Exorcist: Believer. His work has been featured in the Sundance Film Festival, the London Film Festival, the Deauville American Film Festival, the Stockholm Film Festival, and the Abu Dhabi Film Festival, among others.
