- Zazie was born in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, her father an architect and her mother a music teacher. Before beginning a career in music she was a student in foreign languages, being also a model to pay her studies. She made her debut as a singer in 1992 with her first album 'Je, tu(e), ils' followed by two others 'Zen' in 1995 and 'Made in love' in 1998 as well as a live one 'Made in live' published in 1999. She writes not only her own songs but also for other singers as Johnny Hallyday, Pascal Obispo, Florent Pagny or Jane Birkin. Each year she appears in concerts with 'Les Enfoirés' and 'Sol en si' to raise funds, respectively, for the homeless and against AIDS.
