Betsy volunteers as a Hospice companion in Los Angeles.

Betsy started her career at age 21 as a reporter/anchor for a CBS affiliate in Tuscaloosa Alabama. Working 7 days a week for two years, she earned several awards including an Associated Press, Best Feature Story, and a Women in Journalism Award. Having never formally studied journalism, she calls this her first acting job.

Betsy grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and moved during high school to a near north suburb of Chicago.

Betsy was the plaster cast model and puppeteer for The Jim Henson Creature shop to build a life sized animatronic full suit saber toothed cat for the 2010 launching of Ice Age Exhibit at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. Only 6 people in the world know how to operate this creature, which is featured in shows at the La Brea Tar Pits Museum in Los Angeles.
