Once on open water, with blue skies and wind in their sails, hope springs eternal—yet things may not be as they seem. As they await the result of Yusuf’s appeal, tensions begin to rise, and when a young local man further disrupts the delicate family dynamics the trip takes a very unexpected turn.

Inception’s simply shocking ending explained ( Photo Credit – Prime Video )
It’s been over a decade since Inception hit screens, but the movie’s final shot still haunts us. That heart-numbing moment—Cobb’s spinning top—lingered in our minds long after the credits rolled. Did it topple? Was it real? Or were we trapped in a dream like Cobb himself? The debates raged, with viewers lighting up metaphorical cigarettes and diving deep into every frame for answers.
First, let’s get into the nitty-gritty. The Inception final act starts with Cobb and his crew navigating the layered dreamscape crafted by their chemist, Yusuf. The mission? Plant an idea in Fisher’s head to dismantle his father’s empire, all while avoiding the projection of Cobb’s deceased wife, Mal. As if that weren’t enough, Mal shows up, and chaos ensues—Fisher gets shot, and the team has to...

Set amongst Yorkshire’s rugged hill country, Jack King’s premiere feature, The Ceremony, tells a gripping story of two men thrust together by tragic circumstances. Cristi and Yusuf toil washing cars in Bradford as undocumented workers, trying to shield their troubled pasts. But after one of their coworkers dies under unclear circumstances, they are forced to embark on a fateful journey across the challenging terrain of the Dales.
The pair couldn’t be more different—Cristi hails from Romania while the taciturn Yusuf is Kurdish. Their chance discovery of a body belonging to another immigrant employee leaves them with a terrible choice: involve the authorities and risk exposing their illegal status, or take matters into their own hands. Agreeing to dispose of the remains themselves, tensions quickly flare as the isolated moorland pulls long-buried personal demons to the surface.

The BBC has in recent years promoted its “Verify” service in which a special unit acts speedily to support or debunk claims made by guests, often political, on live TV and radio.
However, The Spectator magazine reports on an awkward moment recently when it was required to verify… itself, during a heated discussion on the current affairs panel show Question Time.
Thursday evening saw Reform party chairman Zia Yusuf attack the number of asylum seekers arriving into Britain after it emerged that the Foreign Office has spent more than £4 billion on support for refugees and asylum seekers.
The Spectator reports that Yusuf noted that the UK takes in more asylum seekers per capita than France, before BBC host Fiona Bruce corrected him, saying: “France takes more per capita, we are quite far down the list.”

Jumai Yusuf’s feature debut Cocoa Doll is being launched to international buyers at the Toronto Film Festival this week.
Co-producers and sales agents The Dazey Phase and Unger Media are shopping the horror pic about, Nora, a young Black woman who takes a caregiving job for the McNeils, a rich white family, only to discover they’re hiding a deadly secret.
Cocoa Doll was earlier selected for the Black List’s Muslim List. Yusuf wrote and and is set to direct the indie, which was inspired by caricatures of Black people from the Jim Crow era not lost to history.
“When I set out to write a horror film, I knew I had to tap into the things that truly haunt me. Cocoa Doll is my way of reminding people that Jim Crow isn’t some distant past. It’s a horrifyingly recent chapter of American history,” Yusuf said in a statement.

Charlie Cox and co. were recently at the D23 expo for an exclusive appearance of the Daredevil: Born Again cast. After the Netflix and Marvel Studios’ partnership came to an end, it also meant the end for a lot of shows that were born out of this partner. And Daredevil was one of the first ones to be canceled, that too after three very successful seasons. But fear not fans, as Marvel Studios saw the error in their ways, and are bringing the cast back together for a brand new reboot of the previous storyline.

The Marvel Studios portion of D23's "Disney Entertainment Showcase" is over and the first trailer for Daredevil: Born Again is finally here...albeit, unofficially.
The full teaser has leaked online tonight and is bound to only further increase excitement for the Daredevil revival. Along with a first look at White Tiger, we see The Punisher's reunion with Matt Murdock, Bullseye behind bars, and the Man Without Fear's many costumes.
There's also a suitably tense exchange between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk and a surprise appearance from Ms. Marvel and The Marvels star Mohan Kapur as Kamala Khan's father, Yusuf.
The action scenes look every bit as hard-hitting as we'd hoped and an appearance from Foggy Nelson and Karen Page is sure to be welcomed.
"Marvel had been incredibly open-minded and willing to correct course, and incredibly supportive," Charlie Cox recently said of Daredevil: Born Again's creative overhaul.

Season 2 of As the Crow Flies is all about the constant competition going on between Asli and Lale Kiran, which takes a toll on both their professional and personal lives, but at the end of this unequal battle, Asli learns that karma is a terrible thing.
In the previous season of As the Crow Flies, Lale had resigned from the network, and Asli secured her position as a new TV anchor for the network’s program “The Other Side”. This article contains spoilers for "The Marvels."
Introduced in the 2019 film "Captain Marvel," Goose is a mysterious, voracious alien creature called a Flerken, a being with uncountable tentacles that can snatch full-grown adults from their feet and swallow them whole into its tiny stomach. Goose swallows many victims in "Captain Marvel," and reappears as the good Captain's aloof pet in Nia DaCosta's new film "The Marvels" to swallow even more. The main joke of Goose is that when it's not grabbing its prey, it looks like an average-sized orange tabby housecat. In "The Marvels," Goose is achieved mostly through CGI, but is also played by the real-life cat actors Nemo and Tango.
Later in the film, Goose lays hundreds of Flerken eggs all over a space station. When they hatch, the station is overrun with hungry, hungry kittens who snarf down much of the crew. Don't worry. It's all done to save their lives.

Face front, true believers! This year we’ve had three multiplex visits to the realm of the “Distinguished Competition”, so you didn’t think the MCU would end 2023 with treks into Quantumania and Knowhere (hangout of those Galaxy Guardians)? Oh no, Smilin’ Stan wouldn’t want the fifteenth anniversary of the Studio to conclude without one more adventure. And it’s a sequel to a 2019 film that introduced the cosmic Carol Danvers, while also being somewhat of an expansion of her saga. That’s because she’s not completely going solo as she’s joined by two characters that made their heroic debuts on Disney+. Together this titanic trio is on a mission to save us all as The Marvels.

Harare, July 29 (Ians) Veteran all-rounder Yusuf Pathan, who used all his experience and powered his side, Joburg Buffaloes, into the final of the inaugural edition of the Zim Afro T10, with his brilliant attacking knock, revealed his formula to chase big targets in the shortest format of the game, saying that one just needs to keep calm and go for the big hits.
Yusuf batted with panache and power, scoring an unbeaten 80 from 26 deliveries, smashing 8 sixers and five boundaries, as the crowds cheered on for the Buffaloes at the Harare Sports Club on Saturday.
Speaking about that innings during the Qualifier 1 contest against the Durban Qalandars, the experienced Indian cricketer said,”This is the first time I am playing in the T10. San Diego Comic-Con is not as a big of a studio draw this year, what with all the striking and general downturn of superhero blockbusters. So while the convention is still rolling on out in California, Marvel has gone the old fashioned internet route for its big news this week, sharing a new trailer for The Marvels.
This latest look at director Nia DaCosta’s Captain Marvel sequel doesn’t offer too much in the way of new footage, but it does shine some light on the film’s antagonist, Zawe Ashton’s Dar-Benn. The Kree general is out for revenge on Carol “Captain Marvel” Danvers (Brie Larson), and her plan involves a certain bracelet Ms. Marvel fans may recognize. It appears to be the twin of the bangle that activated Kamala Khan’s (Iman Vellani) light-matter powers, and Dar-Benn uses it to “entangle” The Marvels’ powers. Anytime Danvers, Khan,...

Yusuf/Cat Stevens harkens back to his Harold & Maude era in the new video for “All Nights, All Days,” the latest single off the legendary singer-songwriter’s upcoming LP King of a Land.
The visual finds Harold and Maude — the titular couple in the 1971 dark comedy classic soundtracked by Stevens — in an animated nightmare where they are pursued by evil politicians and oligarchs. However, the villains are ultimately locked up in the London Zoo.

Origins is a recurring series that gives artists a space to break down everything that went into their latest release. Today, legendary songwriter Yusuf / Cat Stevens takes us behind his new single, “All Nights, All Days.”
Legendary singer-songwriter Yusuf / Cat Stevens has released “All Nights, All Days,” the latest single from his upcoming album, King of a Land. The track boasts a bouncy acoustic instrumental and cuttingly political lyrics, a streak that’s furthered by the gorgeous animated music video.
Leaning more into country rock than the previous King of a Land singles, the track allows Stevens to showcase his versatility as both a songwriter and a performer. He cites the Traveling Wilburys — the iconic supergroup made up of Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty — as a primary influence when it came to the composition and tone of the tune.

Carol Danvers, her supporting cast, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a whole have all come a long way since our very first tease of Brie Larson's space-faring superhero. Most would agree that the 2019 film did an adequate job of establishing the origin story for the eponymous Captain Marvel, tying together her Air Force background, a test flight gone horribly awry, and her subsequent team-up with a young, pre-eyepatch Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) against the perceived threat of the shapeshifting Skrulls and the sinister Supreme Intelligence. After saving the world once again in "Avengers: Endgame" and making brief cameos in both "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" and "Ms. Marvel," the Disney+ series starring Iman Vellani as the lovable Kamala Khan, we've yet to see the energy-blasting superhero back in action ... until now.

Ringo Starr rarely hesitates to call it like he sees it, even if he’s the target. Yusuf / Cat Stevens cut his drumming from an album, and his reaction to the slight was pure class. So when Ringo complimented Brian Wilson’s work ethic, it was massive praise from The Beatles drummer to the Beach Boys frontman.

You know what you’re getting with Ringo Starr. As a musician, he proved to be a groundbreaking drummer and one of the best to ever hit the skins in a rock ‘n’ roll band. As a person, Ringo’s sharp and funny but deeply emotional, as he revealed when Paul McCartney threatened him in 1970. He’s also self-aware. Ringo’s reaction to having his drumming deleted from a Yusuf / Cat Stevens album says everything about The Beatles drummer’s personality.

His output, both his own albums and playing on others’ records,...

Yusuf / Cat Stevens has readied his 17th album, King of a Land. The LP arrives via BMG / Dark Horse Records on June 16th, while first single “Take the World Apart” is out now.
Stevens began working on King of a Land way back in 2011, recording with longtime producer Paul Samwell-Smith in bits and pieces at studios in Berlin, Brussels, London, and the South of France. Understandably, the artist calls the finished product a “mosaic.” “Looking at the jagged journey of my music, beginning as I did in the 60’s, I would say this new record is a mosaic,” Stevens said in a statement. “A very clearly defined description of where I’ve been and who I am.”
In addition to streaming, King of a Land comes on exclusive white vinyl and a green vinyl package featuring a 36-page booklet of illustrations from cover artist Peter Reynolds. The CD version of...

Glastonbury Festival has released a new line up poster that shows Lana Del Rey listed higher up than she was in the original version.
The festival recently came under scrutiny after Emily Eavis announced the remaining headliners after Elton John, revealing that no women would headline the event this year.
Guns N’ Roses apparently replaced a female headliner who pulled out, while Arctic Monkeys were also announced to headline the Pyramid Stage.
Lizzo, who will perform ahead of Guns N’ Roses, has been given a double headline billing with the US rock band.
Announcing the news, Emily Eavis preempted criticism of the lack of headline diversity, saying it was “pipeline” problems that related to the all-male headlining line-up.
At the time, many have questioned why Lana Del Rey, who will be playing the festival, wasn’t higher up on the line up posted.
This included criticism from Rey at the time,...
