He was a member of the popular Russian band Ivanushki International from 1998, when he joined to replace late Igor Sorin, until 2013 when he left to begin a solo career.

His older sister Svetlana died in 2010.

On June 28, 2017 it was reported that he was hospitalized in serious condition and diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia. According to the media, he had health issues long ago, he also was diagnosed with pulmonary edema. His relatives attribute this to the fact that he smoked for 20 years. The next day at 07:05 am he died following cardiac arrest at the Moscow hospital at age 47. His body was cremated and farewell to him was held on July 1, 2017 in the Troyekurovsky house Necropolis.
