Erik "Wolfie" Wolford is an accomplished cinematographer known for his expertise in capturing the essence of beauty lighting, cinematic scenes, innovative LED wall/volume setups, as well as his work in features, narrative TV, commercials, and documentaries. Based in Hollywood, he caters to a diverse global clientele, often traveling to remote corners of the world such as Budapest, Tanzania, Antarctica, and Mount Everest to create visually stunning footage.
In his role as the founder and CEO of Wolf Team Productions, Wolfie assembles teams of talented professionals to craft exceptional film and media projects. An Epic Games Fellowship alumna, he is frequently sought after to demonstrate his technical acumen in lighting and filming with LED walls, serving as a key presenter for industry leaders during high-profile demonstrations and industry trade events.
Wolfie's journey in the film industry began in the lighting department in the 1990s, where he worked lighting shoots for iconic directors like Spike Jonze, Michel Gondry, McG, and Francis Lawrence on features, music videos, and commercials. He quickly ascended to lighting sets on blockbuster productions such as Shane Black's "Iron Man 3," JJ Abrams' "Star Trek: Into Darkness," and Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar," where he specialized in green screen shoots, gaffing pick up shots, and illuminating intricate miniature sets.
His recent works include music videos with artists such as Miley Cyrus, Jason Mraz, and Porter Robinson; narrative works such as the feature film "Unicorn Diaries"; multiple seasons of the multi-camera shows "Elevator Pitch" and "The Laugh Lounge," the TV series "The GOAT Code," live tapings of The Rolling Stones and Annie Lennox, and more.
As a thought leader in the industry, Wolfie contributes back to the industry by dedicating one weekend a month to educating the next generation, sharing his technical knowledge and insights for the future of the industry through speaking engagements and post-graduate hands on seminars for college students.
