- Gertrud Wolle was born on March 11, 1891 in Urbis, Alsace, Germany [now Urbès, Haut-Rhin, France]. She was an actress, known for The Hound of the Baskervilles (1937), Der Ball (1931) and Three from the Filling Station (1930). She died on July 6, 1952 in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
- German character actress, on stage at the Deutschen Theater in Berlin from 1916. Frequently used in films of the 1930's and 40's as dotty or frivolous secretaries, aunts, landladies or teachers.
- With the sound film of the 30s Gertrud Wolle became a demanded support actress in the film business and she took part in many well-known productions.
- During World War II of the 40s she acted in movies as "Ohm Krüger" (1941), "Quax, der Bruchpilot" (1941), "Maske in Blau" (1943) and "Geliebter Schatz" (1943).
- The actress Gertrud Wolle got an education at an acting school before she began her stage career at the Deutsches Theater where she appeared regular from 1916. Only three years later she appeared in front of the camera for the first time for "Die Insel der Glückseligen" (19) and "Prinz Kuckuck" (19).
