Sammie Winmill

Born in Bognor in 1950, Sammie Winmill studied acting at the Arts
Educational School and worked for several seasons at the Opera House.
Her first screen role was an uncredited part in the film Up Pompeii
(1971). She was first noticed in the role of nurse Sandra Crumpton in a
few episodes of the series "Doctor in Charge" (1972) for London Weekend
television. She landed a top billing role as Carol in the sci-fi series
"The Tomorrow People" (1973) for the series first season. After leaving
the series, she then had many roles in various other television
productions including the new Avengers series and "The Duchess of Duke
Street" in 1976. She then focused her acting career then entirely on
the stage where she appeared in a variety of London theatre
productions. By the late 1990s, she had formed an acting school with
her teaching, writing plays, and performing in one-women stage
productions.
