- Ricky Watson is an African American European stage, television, and film actor.
He was raised on the Delmarva Peninsula in North America. Upon relocating to Europe, he began to work initially in theatre, leading to the role of Thrash in the original cast for the Tony award-winning stage production "Rocky the Musical".
Ricky's introduction to feature films was for the role of Smitty in the Starz! production hit "Joe & Max," followed by "Speed Racer", "Race" and in the award-winning film "I'll Find You". Ricky shot his first starring film role in the independent Western cult classic "Snowblind", which won Best International Film at the Yellow Fever Independent Film Festival.
He also starred in RTL's TV hit series "All What Counts" as Dan Holbroke, Moritz' heartfelt African American father in search of forgiveness for past failures and longing for a new beginning. This character role in turn is followed by Ben, a brash New York busker in the award-winning film "I'll Find You," encouraging Rachel to re-awake her artistic passion.
