- Jane Seymour came to see Renée in America after she won recognition for being the main James Bond girl in Live and Let Die (1973). She was afraid that she would suffer the Bond Girl curse by never getting cast in other roles and be forgotten like her predecessors, such as Daniela Bianchi and Mie Hama. However, Renée told her to lose her English accent if she wanted to be cast in American roles. Jane followed her advice and consistently found work on American television and in feature films. She credited Renée for her success.
