Vera Valdor

Vera Rose Valdor studied drama in Stockholm under the direction of actors Julia Håkansson and Carl Barklind, acted in a number of Swedish feature films and moved to London in 1938 to study at RADA, Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She became popular in the British film industry but was forced to return to Sweden when WW2 escalated. Vera Valdor married the Swedish actor Gustaf Unger, published a book of short stories called "Jealousy". In 1967 she emigrated to Mexico, married Mario Oswald and began a new phase of her acting career.
