- Guinevere Turner was born on May 23, 1968 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. She is an actress and writer, known for American Psycho (2000), The Notorious Bettie Page (2005) and Go Fish (1994).
- In American Psycho (2000), for which she co-wrote the screenplay, she plays Elizabeth, a character purported to have attended Sarah Lawrence College. Guinevere Turner actually did attend and graduate from Sarah Lawrence.
- Character Gwen Turner in Mallrats (1995) is named for her (see Mallrats trivia entry).
- Appeared in Soul Asylum's "Can't Even Tell" video, directed by her friend Kevin Smith.
- Her paternal grandmother Elizabeth Hobbs, Mrs. Turner, belonged to the United States Marine Corps in 1944 during World War II.
- Is the oldest of six children. She has three brothers and two sisters. She is also an aunt to one niece and two nephews.
- At 10, I tried to act like a boy so I could go fishing and not have to do dishes. At 15, I wept over a broken nail and feathered my hair until it hurt. At 21, desperate to be taken seriously as a lesbian, I got a crew cut and tried to change my walk from a sashay to a saunter. At 24 I made a movie that proclaimed me "dyke" once and for all, and now I am a girly girl with the innards of a truck driver.
- [on BloodRayne (2005)] The only person at the premiere, at Mann's Chinese Theater, who was laughing out loud was me.
- [on BloodRayne (2005)] I would say that about 20% of what I wrote is on the screen. The producer called me, when the movie was just being finished, and he said, "Don't be alarmed, Guin. Uwe (Boll) changed a lot of the script." Uwe doesn't really speak English. "And then he let the actors take a crack at it."
- One of the many things I love about being female is that I am absolutely 100% positive that I don't have any kids.
