Andrew Tarbet was born in Buffalo NY. His family later moved to Boston, MA where at 16 he started working backstage at the American Repertory and The Huntington Theatres doing whatever they told him to do. In 1990 he was accepted to the acting program at the National Theatre School of Canada and lived and studied in Montreal for the next three years. His first job after graduating was playing Le Baron, ring master in the North American, Japanese and European Tours of Cirque Du Soleil's Saltimbanco. He spent the following years working in television and film in the US and Canada. After making the film Café Olé with Spanish actress Laia Marull he moved to Barcelona, Spain in 2005 where is now a regular on the Barcelona stage, and has continued to work consistently on camera in English, Spanish and Catalan (he's as surprised as you are). In 2005 he founded the Mas Sorrer International Short Film Festival and served as the festival's director until 2015. He is presently completing post-production on the short film Tomorrow which he wrote and directed.
