Joaquin Sanchez, actor and producer, formed as an actor in Barcelona (Spain), began his career starring in short films such as Te voy a matar (2000)_ or the multi awarded winner Maricón (2005), TV shows such as El cor de la ciutat (2000) and Majoria absoluta (2002) TV films such as Libro de familia (2005) and _Viaje Vertical (2008)_, or theater plays like "Peter and the Captain or the opposite " based on Mario Benedetti's book; "Life of Galileo Galilei" by Bertolt Brecht or "Waiting for Godot" by Samuel Beckett.
In 2012, he received the Best Actor Award at the XVIII Iberian Film Festival (Badajoz) for his starring role in the short film El chola (2011) directed by Guillermo Rios.
Back in his homeland, Tenerife, he has participated in feature films such as El clan (2012) directed by Jaime Falero and "See you in Montevideo" Dragan Bjelogric.
In 2013 he decides to produce, alone, the first Spanish action film financed with 100% private capital, shooted in English, with local crew and international cast: Bunker: Project 12 (2016), starred by James Cosmo, Timothy Gibbs, Natasha Alam, Eric Roberts and Joaquín himself.
Thanks to his work, Bunker: Project 12 (2016) becomes the first Canarian film with international distribution which also benefits from the attractive tax incentives that receive film productions filmed on the islands for which Canary Islands, and more specifically Tenerife has become a paradise for film industry, being the venue for filming Hollywood blockbusters such as Fast & Furious 6 (2013) (Justin Lin), In the Heart of the Sea (2015), (Ron Howard), Clash of the Titans (2010) (Louis Leterrier), Wrath of the Titans (2012) (Jonathan Liebesman) or the new Bourne film, directed by Paul Greengrass, Jason Bourne (2016).
