Has been noted for looking remarkably similar to Saddam Hussein.
Was the old man in the portrait seen in the Laurel and Hardy films Their Purple Moment and The Laurel and Hardy Murder Case.
His uncle was the composer Sir Arthur Seymour Sullivan.
His father Fred Sullivan was also an actor as well as a singer.
He had seven siblings: Amy Sophie, Florence Louise, Edith Mary, Herbert Thomas "Bertie", Maud Helen "Cissie", George Arthur and William Lacy .
