- Tristan Sturrock was raised in Cornwall. He has been a leading performer with Kneehigh for over 25 years and has performed all over the world. He is best known for 'Brief Encounter' (Broadway, West End), 'Tristan and Yseult' and 'A Matter of Life and Death' (National Theatre) On Television his work most notably includes Jamaica Inn (2014), Best Of Men, The Queen (2009) and Doc Martin (2004). Film Saving Grace (2000). He is married to actress/director Katy Carmichael with whom he has three children. - In 2004 he broke his neck falling backwards off a wall during the Obby Oss festivities in Padstow, Cornwall. He made a one man show about his journey from full paralysis to recovery called 'Mayday Mayday' which recently played at St Anns Warehouse New York after winning the 'International Fringe Review award' at Edinburgh.
