Moira Stuart became Britain's first black TV newsreader, working for
the BBC first as a radio newsreader and continuity announcer in the
1970s and moving to television in 1981. She's now one of the UK's most
recognizable TV faces, and was awarded the OBE in 2001 for services to
news broadcasting.
