- Birth nameEric Antony Stromer
- Born and raised in Evanston, Illinois, Eric grew up enjoying both sports and drama. He excelled in track and football and participated in local talent shows. His passion for the arts and an early break in commercials led him to enroll in the University of Colorado's theater department where he lasted only one week. After realizing a structured curriculum in drama was not satisfying, he desperately tried to return home but was forced against his will to remain in school. In order to financially survive, Eric found a niche in construction. Eric's four years of painting and putting crown molding in just about every house in Colorado, laid the foundation for his future career.
Upon graduation, Eric moved to Los Angeles and began remodeling houses. His eye for design, attention to detail and great craftsmanship, captured the attention of many individuals, including A-list celebrities. In 1993 he started his own company, Big House Construction, which quickly flourished into a lucrative business. Eric has remodeled homes for Mel Gibson, Dylan McDermott, Elijah Wood and Jasmine Guy as well as Sally and Erv Stromer (his own mom and dad!)
Although his business is successful, Eric has not given up his love of entertaining. He is an accomplished singer/songwriter who has written and performed music for "The Drew Carey Showtime Special," Christopher Walkin's Film, "The Wild Side" and numerous television shows. Eric has also produced, scored and starred in "The Acting Thing," a comedy short that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and won top honors at the Houston Film Festival for best comedy short.
Eric's hard work and dedication has landed him the opportunity to combine his two passions, construction and acting. Eric is currently at work on TLC's "Clean Sweep" building, sawing, and hammering his way into viewers hearts one home at a time. The new series pits husbands against wives, girlfriends against boyfriends, helping them transform their rooms from pigpen to Zen. Eric will be remodeling and rebuilding to radically renovate each area into a functional organized space.- IMDb Mini Biography By: anonymous
