As a young woman she worked in a strip club in Cleveland, eventually transitioning to the adult film industry and escort services. She made money for several years, and when her luck in the industry ran out, she moved to Miami, slipping into a pattern of homelessness, drug use and prostitution. As of December 2017, she was sleeping in an abandoned 12-foot by six-foot garage with four to five other homeless women she looks after on a daily basis in the Overtown section of Miami, most of whom are addicted to heroin, living off the money they make as sex workers.
