Megan has a passion for storytelling. Her career encompasses documentary, television, film, theatre, magazines, radio, and writing. She is the president and co-owner of Pyewackitt Productions, an independent production company with a commitment to create high quality, socially relevant programs with a unique perspective. Megan executive produced and directed "Surrogate Stories," a two-hour television special about surrogate mothers and their intended parents. Previous documentary projects for WEtv include "Child Brides" (Producer/Director/Writer) and "Polygamy" (Producer/Writer). She produced, directed, and co-wrote the critically acclaimed independent documentary "Trial By Fire: Lives Re-Forged," dubbed, "a must-see" by Real Screen, "emotionally potent" by the Los Angeles Times, and "a truly important film" by PBS International. The film aired nationally on PBS and around the world and is available on Amazon Prime. Megan also helmed "The Buddy System," an award-winning documentary about the relationship between a young boy on the autism spectrum, and his specially trained autism assistance dog, Buddy. She is also the former festival director of the five-star rated Ridgefield Independent Film Festival and is launching the inaugural Fairfield Film Festival in November 2021. Megan is in pre-production for the feature film, "A Stage of Twilight." In addition to her work as a filmmaker Megan is also a speaker, interviewer, frequent panelist, film festival judge, and award-winning writer and playwright. She lives in Wilton, Connecticut.
