It’s official: Poly-rom-com You Me Her will end with the upcoming fifth season on At&T Audience Network.
Having previously renewed the series from Entertainment One through Season 5, the network revealed today that the fifth season will indeed be its last, with production beginning May 21 in Vancouver.
Created by executive producer and showrunner John Scott Shepherd, You Me Her stars Greg Poehler, Rachel Blanchard and Priscilla Faia as the unconventional threesome.
Season 4, which premiered April 9, picked up with the throuple settling back in after a surprise poly commitment ceremony in a pizza joint at the end of Season 3. Season 4 sees them settling back into the ‘burbs to live a tweaked version of the conventional “married with children” life. The scenario begs the questions: Are “the accidental polyamorists” trying to jam a triangular peg into a round-hole world? Will they break the neighborhood, their peculiar romance, or both?

NBC’s newest comedy premiered Thursday (8/7c) with two back-to-back episodes. In them, we meet Beth Harper (played by Anne Heche, Men in Trees), a Midwestern wife and mother who has a near-death experience in her kitchen after choking on a hero sandwich.
When she’s revived, she claims to be able to receive messages from God. This mortifies her daughter Emily (Madison Davenport, Shameless) and stymies Beth’s husband Tom (Michael Landes, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman)… who’s got a different kind of religious moment happening on the regular...

Ray Richmond contributes to Deadline’s TCA coverage. At TCA to promote the final installment of her Showtime comedy The Big C, series creator Darlene Hunt was asked about her pending new job as showrunner of NBC’s midseason comedy series Save Me starring Anne Heche. She cautioned that her hiring was still unofficial even though “it’s a real ‘probably.’ It’s leaning in that direction,” she said. “There are still a couple of steps in terms of making sure NBC and I both feel we’re going in the right direction and want to tell the same stories on that show.” Related: ‘Save Me’ Showrunner Alexa Junge Exits, Darlene Hunt In Talks To Replace Her The single-camera comedy, from creator John Scott Shepherd, Sony TV and Original Film, stars Heche as a woman who lets herself — and her marriage — go until she undergoes an “awakening” that transforms her...

Exclusive: NBC has hit the pause button on midseason comedy series Save Me starring Anne Heche after two episodes for a major behind-the-scenes changeover. Alexa Junge, who joined the project after the pilot as executive producer/showrunner, is out. Production on the series has been put on hold while a new showrunner is put in place. I hear talks are underway with The Big C creator/executive producer Darlene Hunt to take over the reins of the show, produced by Sony TV and Original Film. The single-camera comedy, created by John Scott Shepherd, stars Heche as a woman who lets herself — and her marriage — go until she undergoes an “awakening” that transforms her spiritually and physically into a desirable and outspoken woman who just might be channeling god. Save Me has not been scheduled, allowing NBC to take time and re-examine the series’ creative direction. The project has been a...

NBC has released a bunch of trailers and clips for a new collection of TV series that they have been developing. We've got stuff from 1600 Penn, Infamous, Save Me, Next Caller, Do No Harm, The New Normal, Guys With Kids, and Go On. It will be interesting to what shows make it and what shows end up on the chopping block. Check out the trailers and clips and let us know which ones look good to you!
1600 Penn:
“1600 Penn” — The Gilchrists are just the average American family dealing with all the everyday issues – like a grown kid who’s forced to move back home, children who are smarter than their teachers and a stepmom (Jenna Elfman, “Dharma and Greg”) desperately trying to win over the kids. They’re loving, fun and a little crazy. In other words, just like everybody else. With one exception: they live in a very special house.

The Fall TV Season presentations for all the new network shows take place this week with the first announced today. Here's a full breakdown of which concepts have made the final list over on NBC.
With only a few shows from last season still sticking around (and none of them hits really), NBC is betting big on comedy this year to sit alongside its football and "The Voice" broadcasts. In fact though its ordered five new dramas, only two of those will be premiering in the Fall with the rest of the schedule filled out with either returning shows or new comedies.
"The Munsters" reboot "Mockingbird Lane" remains in development for a possible mid-season launch. Several other pilots didn't make the final cut and won't be seen, the most galling of which is the Alaskan-set conspiracy mystery thriller "Midnight Sun" with Julia Stiles and Titus Welliver. Also missing out were...

NBC’s new Matthew Perry comedy series Go On and returning drama Grimm, already earmarked for an early launch immediately following the network coverage of the London Olympics, may be joined by two other new comedies, the Anne Heche starrer Save Me and the Ryan Murphy/Ali Adler blended family half-hour The New Normal. Economic recession be damned — the broadcast networks have been spending like it’s 2007 this year. A slew of bidding wars led to a staggering 9 pilot orders/production commitments and 33 put pilot commitments so far this buying season. Additionally, NBC is eying straight-to-series orders for 2 Bryan Fuller-written dramas: a Munsters reboot and Hannibal, based on the Hannibal Lecter character. With dire needs, new owners willing to invest a lot of money in a turnaround and new management eager to make their mark, NBC has been the most aggressive this buying season. In addition to the likely straight-to-series orders, four of the 9 pilot orders/production commitments so far have been given out by the peacock network: comedy Isabel, inspired by a French Canadian format, and John Scott Shepherd’s comedy Save Me, which are casting, and the J.J. Abrams/Eric Kripke adventure thriller Revolution and crime drama Blue Tilt, written by...

ABC on Tuesday greenlighted three drama pilots from ABC Studios, including one exec produced by "Grey's Anatomy" creator/exec producer Shonda Rhimes.
That project, "Inside the Box," was joined on the pilot roster by "I, Claudia" and an untitled project based on the Argentinian drama "Brothers & Detectives."
"Inside the Box," written by Richard E. Robbins, is set in a Washington network news bureau and centers on an ambitious female news producer and her colleagues.
Robbins is exec producing with Rhimes and Betsy Beers.
Rhimes had been interested in the world of journalism as a setting for a show. She developed a project about a group of female journalists, which was picked up to pilot in 2006 but was ultimately shelved when Rhimes got busy with "Grey's" and its spinoff, "Private Practice."
