Joan Shangold
- Actress
Joan Shangold was born in Albany, New York, USA. Thanks to her petite stature, Joan got her start as an actress in theater, playing a number of boys, including Moth in "Love's Labour's Lost" (Cherry Lane Theatre), Boy in "The Good Woman of Setzuan" (with Olympia Dukakis at the Williamstown Theatre Festival), and Puck at the Alaska Rep. Joan has also dubbed movies in Paris, performed in experimental theater (at Cafe La Mama, Performing Garage, and Amsterdam's Mickery Theatre), and has acted in more traditional roles off-Broadway and in regional theaters across the US. Still petite, Joan is known for Goodbye Tango (2023), The Jungle of Accounting (2020), Little Sister (2016), and Samaria (2016).
