- Andrew Seear was born in 1951 in Portsmouth, Hampshire, England, UK. He is an actor, known for Simply Irresistible (1999), Shadowlands (1993) and The Life and Times of Henry Pratt (1992).
- Has appeared in two productions with Peter Howell: The Lord of the Rings for BBC Radio, and Shadowlands (1993). In the former, they played Faramir and Saruman, respectively. The latter film was about C.S. Lewis, a close friend of author J.R.R. Tolkien who is said to have modeled the character of Treebeard after Lewis.
- Two of his works have been followed up years later by new versions starring Cate Blanchett. The Lord of the Rings, in which he played Faramir on the radio, was turned into a film featuring Cate Blanchett as Galadriel. Plenty was performed on the London stage with Cate Blanchett in the lead role.
