Ouijageist… I watched this film entirely because of that title. And I fully understand that it’s not even a good title. Adding Ouija instead of ‘Polter’ with ‘geist’ doesn’t seem to work but maybe that’s the link it has with the movie itself.
We see a new mum moving into a rented home and it doesn’t take long for some spooky happenings to start. She has her mum alongside her for most of the movie aswell as the family friend and landlord who appears at the drop of a hat. People start dying in and around the house in mysterious circumstances and all after the new mum discovers a Ouija Board in the back garden.

"Do you believe in curses, mum?" Wild Eye Releasing has debuted an official Us trailer for an indie horror titled Ouijageist, the latest horror feature from English filmmaker John R. Walker. From that title alone, it's obvious this will be junk. They can't even legally call it a "Ouija" board. After renting a new apartment, a single mom finds a spirit board buried in the backyard, which conjures the spirits of a group of evil entities who then haunt her and her family. A local priest is enlisted to help her put these souls to rest forever. Lois Wilkinson stars, with Lesley Scoble, Roger Shepherd, Gabriella Calderone, Nathan Head, and Kristofer Dayne. Described as "a frightening new supernatural spooker in the tradition of The Conjuring." This was already released in Europe last year, and is only now arriving direct-to-vod in the Us this month. Here's the official Us release trailer (+ poster) for John R.

With the upcoming worldwide release of the modern creature feature comedy Cute Little Buggers I was lucky enough to spend some time with the film’s director Tony Jopia to talk about his influences, bringing the bunnies to life and having fun on set.
How did first get in to filmmaking?
When I was 9 years old I was asked what I wanted to do at school. I remember seeing Airport 1975 (1974) and then not long after another film called the The Poseidon Adventure (1972). They both kind of set a firm seed in my mind that making moves is what I wanted to do. My father used to wake me up at midnight to watch all the creature feature movies that used to appear late at night. I had school the next day yet he would still wake me up at midnight and say, “Come and watch this”. It was the...

Report by Adrian Smith
On Saturday in the shadow of Westminster Abbey, amidst the power-hungry elite of Whitehall and Downing Street, gathered an even more sinister and corrupting influence. Darth Vader rubbed shoulders with evil twins, corrupted children, vampires, zombies and even Jack the Ripper. Overseeing this evil conclave were directors whose films were so depraved that sometimes sick bags were supplied to the audience.
Horror film buffs were of course overjoyed at the fantastic selection of stars at this Hammer and Horror Film event. Representing the Bond girls were Caroline Munro, Caron Gardner, Martine Beswick and Madeline Smith.
