- Actor

- Editorial Department
Brian was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and raised in Los Angeles. He and
his younger brother, Neil, spent much of their childhood on film sets
in Hollywood and on location, mostly in New York, NY. Their parents,
Ronald L. Schwary and
Susan Carol Schwary, are in the
entertainment business; their father, an Academy Award-Winning producer
and director and their mother, an Emmy Award-Winning hair stylist. At a
very young age, Brian and Neil both dabbled in the entertainment
industry as child actors doing commercials and small parts in film and
TV. Their parents, afraid of how a Hollywood career could affect their
childhood, pulled them out of acting. Brian continued acting in school
productions and also pursued his other passion, the visual arts. While
in high school, Brian enrolled at the Art Center in Pasadena, CA,
taking college courses in fine arts and film.
Brian graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts, specializing in painting, photography, and sculpting. While at Boulder, he spent his summers working as an assistant film and sound editor. He also studied fine arts for a year at Lorenzo de' Medici in Florence, Italy. After college, Brian returned to Los Angeles and decided to pursue an acting career full time along with his art. He graduated from the Joanne Baron/D.W. Brown Studio. Brian began working as an actor in multiple films, TV shows, and commercials. The NY art scene pulled Brian away from LA for a few years where he furthered his career. With the desire for more space to create and paint, Brian returned to Downtown LA where he now resides. He splits time between NY and LA, creating and exhibiting his art, acting, and directing.
