Stan is a veteran filmmaker with feature films, documentaries, music
videos and thousands of commercials in his portfolio. His storytelling
skills with talent and dialogue keep him in high demand. Stan produced
and directed two feature length films. 'Cost of Living', and 'Parting
Words'. 'Cost of living', an edgy independent film, stars Edie Falco as
a female drifter and con artist. It made its rounds on the independent
film festival circuit in the summer of 1997 winning recognition at
every festival that it appeared in including Best First Feature, Studio
Prize and Best Actress for Edie Falco at the AFI International Film
Festival in Los Angeles. It was also invited to participate in two
major international film festivals, the Mannheim Heidelberg Festival in
Germany and the Milan Film Market (MIFED) in Italy.
Cost of Living was purchased by Showtime and was aired there in the Fall of 2002. Stan's second film, 'Parting Words', is a timely blue-collar romantic comedy about a four- way friendship that gets... complicated. It won the Best Feature Film and Best Director at the 2009 Long Island Film Festival as well as Best Director and Best Actress at the Hoboken International Film Festival. It aired in NYC in 2010 and the Tri-State area on WNET/PBS, Channel 13.
In the television commercial industry Stan has won every major award including the Golden Lion at the Cannes Film Festival. Over the years he has directed commercials for high profile companies including Anheuser Busch, The Coca Cola Company, AT&T, Hallmark, Mc Donalds and Goodyear. He has directed in a wide variety of genres, situations and locations as well as a host of celebrities and sports figures including: Lance Armstrong, Edie Falco, Cindy Crawford, Rachel Ray, Brett Farve, Tim Duncan, Kareem Abdul- Jabbar and His Honor, Rudy Giuliani to name a few. Stan has also produced and directed music videos and documentaries and recently completed a long format project for the Washington DC-based Heroes Inc., a non profit organization that financially assists family members of fallen fire and law enforcement officials.
