Marat Sarulu was born in 1957 in Talas, Kirghiz SSR, USSR [now Kyrgyzstan]. He was a director and writer, known for Move (2014), Altyn Kyrghol (2002) and Songs from the Southern Seas (2008). He died on 9 March 2023 in Kyrgyzstan.
