He celebrated his breakthrough in 2003 in the role of the Persian ruler Shah in Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi in the two-part TV series "Soraya", which was about the life story of Soraya of Persia. In the same year the TV film "My husband, my life and you" was made. Erol Sander made his film debut in 2004 in a supporting role in "Aexander", directed by Oliver Stone.
