Johnathan "Johnny" Michaels is an Asian American actor, choreographer, professional dancer, photographer and director based in New York City. With over 15 years of professional experience in the entertainment industry, Johnny has been able to work with some of the most notable artists and actors in front of and behind the camera. Starting at his mother's dance studio at age 3, Johnny learned to control the stage at a very young age. After signing with LT Model & Talent, he began booking gigs for magazines and commercials while still in elementary school. His first film role as a child was in the movie "Stepmom" with Julia Roberts.
Moving forward with performing arts he began to win multiple awards at dance competitions, martial arts tournaments and modeling pageants. Through college he double majored in Dance & Choreography while minoring in Psychology at Long Island University. After being signed to DDO Artists Agency his sophomore year of college, he then began his professional dance career. His first music video was dancing along side Harlem rapper, Lil Mama with T Pain for her video "I'm What It Is". While in college, he was given a role on an unaired pilot for an MTV show called "Dance Or Drop", although it never made it to TV, he was chosen as a "winning audience member" who won the competition for this dance "reality show" pilot. After this had happened he was offered to join Bloc Talent Agency and then joined. From here on out, Johnny would pursue a career in professional dancing and eventually begin to choreograph as well.
After college Johnny enrolled in acting classes at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in Manhattan, New York looking to expand his talents and here we are now.
His credits include: T Pain, Lil Mama, All Time Low, Maroon 5, Naughty By Nature, working in films with Awkwafina, being featured on Comedy Central, working NYFW and so on...
