Stacy Rukeyser is an award-winning creator, showrunner and executive producer with a history of writing attention-grabbing shows for over 20 years.
Stacy is the creator, showrunner and executive producer of Netflix's hit series, "Sex/Life." Now in its second season, the show uncovers the story of a suburban mother of two who takes a fantasy-charged trip down memory lane which sets her very married present on a collision course with her wild-child past. Her story unfolds while leaning into themes of female identity and desire.
Stacy served as the showrunner and executive producer of the critically acclaimed drama "UnREAL." The four-season series follows a show within the show, 'Everlasting,' and the roller coaster of drama that its cast and staff endure to create high ratings. The series received a 2016 Primetime Emmy Award® nomination in the category of 'Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series' and won a 2016 AFI Award in the category of 'TV Program of the Year' as well as a 2016 Peabody Award.
Stacy's previous writing credits include the Golden Globe Award-winning and Emmy® Award-nominated series "Without a Trace," "Crash," "One Tree Hill," "October Road," "Standoff," "Greek" and "The Lying Game."
A cum laude graduate of Princeton University, she resides in Los Angeles with her husband and two sons.
