- Born in Palo Alto, California, Tim was a physically imposing and well-known character actor from the 80's. Tim and Tom Selleck were college roommates while both attended the University of Southern California. First drafted into the NFL in 1968, his career there included playing professional football for the Philadelphia Eagles, then San Diego Chargers, and the Houston Oilers. After his football career ended in the mid 70's, Tim began acting and remained active through 1998. - When Rossovich played for the Philadelphia Eagles, he shared a house with Steve Sabol of NFL Films fame. A couple years ago NFL Films did a segment with Steve Sabol reuniting with Rossovich and Gary Pettigrew, who was another Eagles player from the late 1960s who roomed there.
- Rossovich was an All-American DE at the University of Southern California (USC). While in the NFL, he made his reputation as a guy who definitely marched to the beat of a drummer no one else knew of or heard! Was famous for pranks that gained him money on bets such as chewing glass and setting himself on fire. Never lived up to his potential as a player in the NFL and, every once in a while, you can see him on vintage NFL Films about the Eagles of the 1960s and 1970s.
