The new trailer and poster for Tom Costabile's Voodoo will put a spell on you in today's Horror Highlights, which also includes details on Brendan Deneen's upcoming horror novel The Chrysalis and acquisition news for the Steven Soderbergh-produced sci-fi film Perfect.

When spunky Southern belle Dani (Samantha Stewart) decides her life back home is getting a little too complicated, she decides to have a bit of time away and goes on a road trip to Los Angeles to visit her wild cousin Stacy (Ruth Reynolds). Freestyle Digital Media, the recently-acquired digital film distribution division of Byron Allen’s Entertainment Studios, has acquired the North American rights to the highly-anticipated horror feature VooDoo, which is written and directed by Tom Costabile, and stars Samantha Stewart (Days of Our Lives), Dominic Matteucci, Ruth Reynolds, Daniel Kozul, Ron Jeremy, and Lavelle Roby.

Produced by HyperCube Films, VooDoo tells the story of an innocent southern girl, Dani, vacationing in Los Angeles to evade her increasingly complicated life. Once Dani arrives in Los Angeles, she learns that trying to escape her past is not as easy as she had hoped.

VooDoo debuts on VOD through Freestyle Digital Media on February 24th.

Michael B. Jordan is ready to get in the ring! The actor is putting on the gloves for the upcoming Rocky spinoff, "Creed," and we're getting glimpse at his buff boxing bod in the first trailer for the movie.  Jordan plays Adonis Creed, the son of Stallone's former on-screen nemesis Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers). "It ain't about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward," Jordan says at one point, quoting Rocky. We see Creed track down Balboa himself after heading to Philly for training -- yep, Sylvester Stallone is in this one too. For "Rocky" fans, it's definitely worth watching. Not only that, Michael's super-fit physique will definitely get your blood boiling! The film also stars Tessa Thompson as Adonis' love interest, as well as Phylicia Rashad as his mother -- taking over the role of Mary Anne Creed from Lavelle Roby and Sylvia Meals.
