Alicia Robbins was lead DP on Grey's Anatomy Season 17, and was alternating DP on Season 16. Robbins' talent shone when she lensed "Silent All These Years," episode 1519, which earned praise as one of the most powerful episodes in Grey's Anatomy history. This landed her the full time position on the show for Seasons 16 and 17. She has continued her work with Shondaland, having shot four of the eight episodes for Bridgerton (Season 3) which is expected to release sometime in 2024. Robbins is the alternating DP on the reboot of Quantum Leap, Season 2 for NBC which marks her second collaboration with showrunner and producer, Martin Gero. Previously she worked on Gero's mini-series, Keep Breathing, which was released on Netflix.
Previously, Robbins lensed several features and numerous commercials, documentaries and music videos. Babysplitters feature film won Best Feature Film at the 2020 Santa Barbara International Film Festival and Best Comedy Feature at the San Diego International Film Festival and received mention in Variety for its "sparkling" cinematography. The Wedding Invitation, also shot by Robbins, won Best Romantic Comedy at the Manhattan Film Festival and Best Comedy at Burbank International Festival in 2016.
She is a recipient of the prestigious Emerging Cinematographer Award (2018) from the Cinematographer's Guild for her work on the short Internet Gangsters. She is a graduate from AFI (2003) having earned an MFA in Cinematography.
