- On the wave of democratic changes, Janusz Rewinski tried his hand at politics. In the early 1990s, he founded the "Beer Scouts" association (the name of one of the TV programs), on the basis of which the Polish Party of Beer Friends was founded. In the 1991 parliamentary elections, he was elected a member of parliament of the first term from this party's list .
