Reed is a director, screenplay writer and an international recording artist. Signed to 'Polygram Records' in 1988, his band 'Dan Reed Network' released 3 albums for the label, leading them to tour throughout the US and Europe with Bon Jovi, the Rolling Stones, UB40 to name a few. After selling over 2 million albums globally, Reed focused his attention to film and theatre.
He attended Vancouver Film School in 1991 and immediately wrote and directed a short film 'Death by Rock and Roll', along with directing and producing a number of Music Videos for his band and other bands in the industry.
Between 1992 and 1995 Reed starred in 3 long running plays, Alan Bownes 'Beruit', and Sam Shepard's 'Buried Child' and 'Tooth of Crime'. During these years he wrote a number of screenplays, one entitled 'Zigzag' caught the attention of Loren Bivens, the former film instructor at Texas University, and mentor to the Coen Brothers. After putting together all the elements, including funding, Reed co-produced, acted in and edited the film. Zigzag went on to enter the Top 20 Video Rentals in Billboard Magazine in 1998.
When preparing to produce a 2nd feature Dan was offered the helm of a popular nightclub in Portland. He became a partner, renamed the club 'Ohm' and turned it in to the number one night spot for both Rock and EDM audiences.
Dan knows how to build an experienced team and has a personal understanding of the modern industry.
