Pierre Png is a Singaporean actor of Peranakan descent who is best known for his roles as Michael Teo in Crazy Rich Asians and Phua Chu Beng from Phua Chu Kang. Talent-spotted from Forever Fever, a critically acclaimed local movie, Pierre Png made his entry into the entertainment circle by winning the Fame Awards in 1998, Singapore's nationwide talent search. His other notable work includes Little Nyonya, In Pursuit Of Peace, Rouge, and more.
Pierre participated in the movie Chicken Rice War in 2000, which represented Singapore at the Los Angeles Film Festival. In 2002, Pierre was given a role in the Hong Kong movie The Eye. The movie hit a $14m box office in Hong Kong and $1m in Singapore at its first week of release. He received another lead role in Somchai's movie Nothing To Lose, a dark dramedy directed by the acclaimed director Pang Brothers as a compulsive gambler.
Pierre won Best Actor at the Star Awards 2014 and the Asian Television Award 2015.
