Ronald Gardner worked for Gerald as a driver, Ronald was the father of actor Anthony Newley, Newley had given Ronald a house in Beverly Hills but Ron rented or sold it to Sammy Davis Jr. and Ron lived in a very modest house in South LA.

Gerald was the owner of London Towne Livery Service Ltd. in Beverly Hills. His clients included Elvis Presley. Gerald was the only one who Elvis permitted to drive him. Elvis kept a 1955 white Rolls Royce and a Mercedes 6 door stretch limo at Londown Towne and permitted Gerald to use them in the business, provided Elvis had first call. The Mercedes had refrigerator, wet bar and B&W TV in the back. When Elvis gave those Cadillacs away, Gerald's drivers delivered them.
