Ren Patterson(I)
- Additional Crew
Ren Patterson is a writer, director, producer and all
around auteur. After 40 years of filmmaking, he is still hungry for new
opportunities and new windmills and will continue cranking 'film'
through his camera for as long as there are cameras. After graduating
from New York's School of Visual Arts, Ren began his career in earnest,
working as Creative Director for Independent-International Pictures
where he worked on numerous features including "Dracula vs.
Frankenstein"; "Naughty Stewardesses"; Five Bloody Graves"; and "In
Search of Dracula" as head of marketing, researcher, script doctor,
camera operator, in-camera effects supervisor, film timer, and in many
other capacities. Moving on after a few years, Ren founded Templar
Productions, through which he made a number of shorts, documentaries,
industrials and TV ads. After Templar closed, Ren went on to work for
TVCCS, Teletactics (where he was assistant producer of a feature
animation for ABC) and Phoenix Films, before moving into the corporate
world as a Director of Marketing and Creative Director for Global
companies such as Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young and
PIMCO/Oppenheimer - - always keeping his eye on film and video as a
communication tool. Hundreds of films, videos and theater productions
later, Ren has returned to his love of short films and recently worked
on SHC and Evangelist. He is currently Creative Director at SVA
Professional Services in Madison Wisconsin and is writing feature
scripts and novels on the side.
