Danny O'Shea(1901-1979)

Danny O'Shea was born Daniel Patrick O'Shea on October 8, 1900 in Boston, Massachusetts. He studied to be an electrician and started his acting career on the New York stage. Danny joined a theatrical group called the Canadian Kitties and entertained in Europe during World War 1. He was signed by Mack Sennett studios and appeared in several movies with Alice Day including Spanking Breezes and The Plumbers Daughter. Then he joined F.B.O. studios where he starred in the The Wisecracker series and The Beauty Parlor series with Thelma Hill. He also had leading roles in Her Father Said No and Dugan Of The Dugouts. In 1928 he had an operation to removed a bullet he received during World War 1. Danny quit making movies and became a construction superintendent. He lived with his wife Carmen in Redlands, California, He died on July 6, 1979 from a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm and cardiovascular disease. He is interred at Santa Barbara Cemetery.
