Daniel O'Shea(I)
- Actor
- Producer
Daniel (Danny) O'Shea grew up in L.I.C. New York. He became interested in
acting while attending Queensboro Community College, where he starred in
several plays (Murray Schisgal's The Tiger, The Merchant by
Plautus, Lovers and Other Strangers by Renee Taylor and Joe Bologna, The
Brute by Chekhov and The Doctor In Spite of Himself by Moliere). He left
school and worked odd jobs, not giving acting another thought. In 1984
the acting bug bit Danny again and he started appearing in Off Off
Broadway theater while studying acting with the late Herbert Berghof. In
1985 while attending an open call from Backstage Danny landed the title
role in the feature film Flight of the Spruce Goose with Karen
Black, Betsey Blair. Dennis Christopher and Jennifer Runyon. After this
Danny continued working in film and television, but in his typical
iconoclastic, independent fashion walked away from acting in the early
90s. He has returned to the stage in New York City and is looking forward to take on whatever comes his way.
