Joe Nimziki
- Director
- Actor
- Writer
After directing several high profile commercials and serving as an award-winning ad agency creative director, Joe Nimziki broke into the film business as the youngest Vice President in Sony Pictures' history, for what would become its' most prolific winning streak (including A League of Their Own, A Few Good Men, Groundhog Day and more). He later moved on to MGM, helping to return it to its former glory as a top grossing studio ( helping to revive the dormant James Bond series, and releasing multiple global hits like The Birdcage, and Get Shorty). He followed that up by serving as the youngest Hollywood studio President (Worldwide Marketing) at New Line Cinema, as they reached an unprecedented level of success (launching and building multiple series, including The Lord of The Rings, Austin Powers, Rush Hour, Friday, and Final Destination).
Joe left New Line to become a highly-sought "Movie Doctor" in Hollywood, brought in by both studios and independent producers to re-write, direct and edit a number of major films. As a writer and director, Joe's first television project, Showtime's The Outer Limits: Stream of Consciousness, was heralded as a "powerful and meaningful story years ahead of its' time, and his feature debut The Howling: Reborn was hailed by critics as "stylishly directed by Nimziki with an unexpectedly deep and emotionally satisfying story" and "far better than Twilight, and at a fraction of the cost." The property was allegedly being developed as a television series, which never happened.
In addition, Joe continues to serve as highly sought-after Marketing Consultant, advising top film studios, ad agencies, and international corporations like Red Bull. To date, he has won over 200 major awards, including Beldings, Tellys, Clios. Golden Trailers and more. He has received numerous press honors in Daily Variety and The Hollywood Reporter (Top Young Execs, On A Rocket, Top 35 Under 35, etc.) and other accolades in Ad Age, Ad Weekly, Wall Street Journal, etc.
Joe has recently turned his attention to the television landscape, writing and creating original series. His buzz-worthy debut pilot script The Kreskin Project was one of the hottest must-reads among studio execs, and is at Sony Pictures Television with Joe set to Executive Produce alongside Peter Tolan (Analyze This, Larry Sanders, Rescue Me) and with Barry Sonnenfeld (Men In Black, The Addams Family, Pushing Daisies) attached to direct.
