Pamela Murphy is experienced as an Executive and a Producer.
As a Development Executive for Michael Douglas at two of his production companies, she created and ran the Story Department, working extensively with writers/directors/producers developing projects.
Pamela was VP Development at Hallmark Entertainment (LA) the production company of Robert Halmi Sr., producer of films and mini-series for television.
Pamela established Sirocco Films with European partner Bernard Giglio. Based in Los Angeles and Paris, Sirocco focused on international co-productions. Pamela is the Exec Producer for BLOG VOYAGE, a 60 min television pilot for French Travel Channel; U.S. Producer for STEPS TO THE FUTURE, a five hour episodic documentary series aired on Science Television (France2 and France5) which continues to be sold in the international sales market; Exec Producer for the doc film: KIRI WAI: INNER SKIN, which premiered at the New Zealand Film Festival, U.S. Producer for A CHOSEN DEATH, a one-hour doc film continually screening throughout France, which explores international end-of-life laws and seeks to differentiate between palliative care, medical assisted suicide and euthanasia...as well as the right to choose. Exec Producer of THROUGH THE TEAR, a 60 min documentary exploring our definitive DNA connection to the origin of man in the area in Africa known as the Cradle of Humanity, including the filming of the last surviving SAN hunter/gatherers and interviews with leaders in the fields of genealogy, anthropology, genetics, and origin art
Pamela created Jacaranda Road Productions, developing feature film and television projects, both U.S. centric and international co-productions. The slate includes FINN, a UK/AUS family adventure film, adapted from the book by renowned children's author, A. J. Dawson. THE LIGHTS of CHRISTMAS, written by Beverley Wood.
After years collaborating with talent and creating and developing projects, Pamela is particularly adept at recognizing worthy material and shaping scripts to their greatest creative potential and she especially enjoys the collaboration process of bringing those projects to the screen.
