- Although she made only one movie, Because You're Mine (1952), opposite Mario Lanza, Doretta Morrow's Broadway credits were impressive, including the original "Tuptim" in "The King and I" (1951) and "Marsinah" in "Kismet" (1953). Sadly, she re-created neither role for the screen. Retiring when she married, she died in London, of cancer, in 1968, just a month after her 41st birthday.
