Lew Morphy was born on 18 April 1904 in New York, USA. He was an actor. He was married to Althea Cloud, Elsie A. Williams, Kaye and Valarie Krzeczowski. He died on 7 November 1958 in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA.
On November 7, 1958, Morphy--apparently despondent over the death of his mother and serious financial problems--shot and killed his wife. He then ended up in a physical confrontation with her mother, killing her (possibly accidentally; she hit her head on a coffee table when he pushed her off him). After telephoning a friend, he shot and killed himself.
