Sometimes, as humans, we fail to measure the weight of our own actions, and in our sheer ignorance, push a person off a cliff. We don’t often realize the consequences of our actions until it is too late, and that’s what happened with Benjamin. The young boy committed suicide when Sophia McElroy, the daughter of a powerful U.S. senator, bullied Benjamin, and later a journalist named Jake Mills, publicly harassed him through his news sensationalized news report. Benjamin’s father, David couldn’t bear the loss and therefore decided to avenge his son’s Wrongful Death by taking it out on the people who forced him to take his own life.
David kidnapped Sophia and Jake and locked them up in a torture chamber designed like an escape room where the rules were simple: they needed to confess their crimes and take responsibility for what they did to Benjamin.

Or are there darker powers at play? Fool Me Once, created by bestselling author Harlan Coben, was directed by BAFTA Award winner David Moore and adapted to series by writer Danny Brocklehurst. Brocklehurst also worked with Coben on the series Safe, The Stranger, and Stay Close, which were also based on Coben’s novels. A federal jury awarded a gay couple $100,000 after they sued former Kentucky clerk Kim Davis for refusing to grant two same-sex couples, David Ermold and David Moore, and, James Yates and Will Smith, marriage licenses.
Davis was found guilty of violating the couple’s constitutional rights and was voted out as a Rowan County clerk. She cited religious beliefs as her reason for denying the license.
Davis also spent time in jail over her refusal to perform her duties of her office. She was later freed after her staff issued the licenses on her behalf, but her name was removed. The incident involving Davis would later influence the Kentucky state legislature to enact a law that removed the names of all county clerks from state marriage licenses.
The Ashland jury awarded Ermold and Moore $50,000 each, while Yates and Smith received no damages in a ruling by U.S. District Judge David Bunning.

[In case you've Forgotten, and as I will continue to mention each and every one of these posts that I do: This is *not* a review. Pilots change. Sometimes a lot. Often for the better. Sometimes for the worse. But they change. Actual reviews will be coming in September and perhaps October (and maybe midseason in some cases). This is, however, a brief gut reaction to not-for-air pilots. I know some people will be all "These are reviews." If you've read me, you've read my reviews and you know this isn't what they look like.] Show: "Forever" (ABC) The Pitch: "New Amsterbland" or "Ele-Meh-ntary" Quick Response: Wait. Give me a second. People tend to read "bland" is a negative and it doesn't need to be. I think "Castle" is also bland, but I find it blandly charming and blandly pleasant. I just watch "Castle" each week knowing that the chances of it challenging me on Any level are something below zero. And if ABC cared about such things, "Castle" should have swapped nights at some point and "Forever" should be airing at 10 p.m. after "Castle," because I think fans of one will like the other. Ioan Gruffudd isn't quite the happy-to-spend-44-minutes-per-week-with-him bon vivant that Nathan Fillion is, but when he gets to speak with his native accent, he's hardly an inert blob. He's coasting purely on charisma here, but Matthew Miller's high concept premise -- Dude gets immortality and, thanks to endless spare time,...

After remaining quiet all spring, ABC monopolized the attentions of the nation's TV critics on Thursday (May 8) with an evening full of big announcements. You can read about seven of the network's renewals here, as ABC extended its relationship with "Scandal," "Grey's Anatomy," "Modern Family" and more. Fortunately, despite all of these renewals, ABC still has a number of bubble shows waiting for news on Friday, which means more content. And you can also read about ABC's renewal of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and pickup for "Marvel's Agent Carter" here. But like the game show host says... That's not all! In addition to "Marvel's Agent Carter," ABC gave series orders to dramas "How To Get Away With Murder," "American Crime," "The Whispers" and "Forever." On the comedy side, "Black-ish," "Manhattan Love Story" and "Selfie" earned series orders. And on the musical comedy fairy tale front?...

Richard John Taylor had no problem attracting investors to his films. After all, he was a senior editor on EastEnders, ran a production company with Louis Theroux and had a lucrative deal with ITV. There was only one problem…
At the end of Tina Renton's book, You Can't Hide, she thanks her friend Richard John Taylor for everything he's done for her. Taylor, a film-maker, had become a saviour of sorts. He had met her through Rape Crisis in August 2011 when she was at her most vulnerable, befriended her, gave her a job as his personal assistant and made her feel worthwhile again.
Renton's story was as inspirational as it was shocking. She had been abused by her stepfather from the age of six. At 14, she told her mother, but her mother said if she went to the police, the family would be left homeless. She threw her partner out of the house,...

Roger Ebert once wrote about the Toronto International Film Festival, "In the beginning, its organizers were happy to sell out a 500-seat theater." The same can be said for The Santa Fe Independent Film Festival, whose inaugural fest was financed with funds won in a no-limit poker game, and welcomed 500 attendees. Now in its fifth year, Sfiff has grown into the highest attended festival in the state of New Mexico. Sfiff was born in 2009 when co-founders and filmmakers Jacques Paisner and David Moore decided to start a festival honoring local filmmakers and stories. In the five years since its inception, Sfiff has grown exponentially each year, expanding its programming to include national and international films. By 2012, Sfiff had grown to 5,000 attendees. This year, it is expected to hit 10,000. "When we started this five years ago, we had no idea what it would become, and we certainly didn't think it would be as massive,...

Andy Schleck won at the highest finish in Tour history, but Thomas Voeckler clings on to the yellow jersey by 15 seconds
Stage 18: Pinerolo to Col du Galibier (200.5km)
Three of the Tour's nine hors category Alpine climbs loom ominously between the riders and the finish line today in a stage that should go some way towards sorting out the men from the boys ... unlike several other stages we predicted would do so, only for the Gc to remain more or less the same.
First up is the Col Agnel (2,744m), the third-highest pass in Tour history, followed by the Col d'Izoard (2,360m) with an average ascent of 7.1%. Finally, an exhausted field must tackle the Col du Galibier (2,645m), where the first rider to the summit will stand on the stage-winner's podium at a higher altitude than any competitor in Tour de France history.

At this moment in time, James Cameron’s Avatar has grossed $2,265,499,113 worldwide. That extra digit in front means billion, which equates to two things: Cameron rakes in slightly more than your average Jimmy John’s employee, and there will be a sequel.
Forget all the buildup to an official announcement; any project that rakes in that sort of dough will receive a follow-up. It’s simply too profitable to ignore, and without the grounding of a real-life story such as that of Titanic, Cameron will have free reign to do whatever he wants with Avatar 2 or 3.
He’s helped by the fact that most of the work is done; he’s mentioned that the extensive research he conducted to figure out the biology of the Na’vi homeworld and the technology used to bring Avatar to life has been akin to creating an elaborate soundstage. His toolbelt is still warm...
