Actor Akhil Mishra, who has worked in films such as the Aamir Khan-starrer ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain’ passed away after an accident in the kitchen. He was 67. A source said: “It was an accident. He was found injured on the floor in the kitchen and died in the hospital. And now the body has been taken for autopsy. We are waiting for the reports.”

The source said that his wife, Suzanne was shooting in Hyderabad when the incident happened.

Akhil Mishra, was born 1965. He has worked in films such as ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’,‘Gandhi, My Father’ and television serials such as ‘Pradhanmantri’.

He gained popularity by doing the cameo role of Librarian Dubey in ‘3 Idiots’ and playing the role of Umed Singh Bundela in Uttaran starring Tina Datta and Rashami Desai.

German actress based in India Suzanne Bernert, who is popularly known for portraying the role of Congress leader Sonia Gandhi in films and series such as ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’, ‘Pradhanmantri’ and ‘7 Rcr’, was in Hyderabad for a shoot.

Bernert said: “I was here in Hyderabad for first time for my shoots. I got one day for myself. After shifting to India, I enjoy visiting temples and exploring the story behind its existence. Since sometime I’ve been following the ritual to at least visit one temple whenever I’m traveling to a new city.”

She added: “I was blessed this time to see lord Jagannath and take blessings. The temple here in Banjara hills is inspired by the original temple in Puri. The place was crowded but still one can feel the peace.”

The ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ actress praised the beauty of the temple.

Veteran theatre actor and director Akhil Mishra has joined the now famous serial Uttaran as the character of Ummed Singh on Colors. “I play a very jolly, sweet (diabetic) guy and I want what is best for my son. I trust his judgment, but he is in love with the daughter of a maid. So the story will have many twist and turns,” comments Akhil.

In fact more than the acting part he thoroughly enjoyed his reunion with his friend Basu Chatterji’s daughter, who is part of the production team. Bengali actress Beena is playing the role of his wife.
