As of early 2024, Jeff Miller had produced close to 40 feature films and written almost half as many.
A native of the Carolinas, Jeff graduated from
Brookland-Cayce High School (Cayce, SC) and then received his Bachelor
of Media Arts degree from the University of South Carolina (Columbia,
SC). Jeff's screenwriting mentor was James Lineberger (20th Century Fox's "Taps"). Jeff wrote and/or produced three features -- "Freakshow,"
"Hellblock 13," and "Head Cheerleader, Dead Cheerleader" (which he also directed) -- in the
Columbia, SC area before moving to Los Angeles in 2001. In L.A., he was
introduced to director Gary Jones through mutual friend Gunnar Hansen
("Leatherface" from "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre"), with whom both Jeff
and Gary had made movies. Jeff and Gary proceeded to work together on
several films, including "Jolly Roger: Massacre at Cutter's Cove,"
"Ballistica," and "Axe Giant: The Wrath of Paul Bunyan," the latter of which premiered on the Syfy Channel in 2013.
After "Axe Giant," Jeff became more prolific, averaging multiple films a year. "The Burning Dead" (co-starring Danny Trejo), "Clowntown," and "Edgar Allan Poe's Lighthouse Keeper" (based on an unfinished short story by Poe) soon followed. Jeff also helped executive produce "Kill 'Em All," starring action superstar Jean-Claude Van Damme.
Jeff won the Producer of the Year Award at FearNYC Fest in 2017. Several of Jeff's features were released in 2018, including "The Toybox" (starring Denise Richards and Mischa Barton), "Ouija House" (starring Mischa Barton and Tara Reid), and "Death Kiss" (starring Robert Bronzi, Daniel Baldwin, and Richard Tyson). Those three films had their world premieres at Texas Frightmare Weekend in May 2018.
In 2019 thriller "The Russian Bride," starring Corbin Bernsen, was released and aired on Showtime after successful festival runs at Cinepocalypse and Fantasporto. The year also saw the production and release of Jeff's first western, "Once Upon a Time in Deadwood," starring Robert Bronzi and Michael Pare.
In 2021 Jeff produced sci-fi adventure "Space Wars: Quest for the Deepstar," starring Michael Pare and Olivier Gruner. Later in 2021, Grindstone/Lionsgate released action thriller "The Gardener" (starring Robert Bronzi and Gary Daniels), co-written by Jeff and executive produced with Mark L. Lester (director of "Commando" and "Firestarter").
In 2022-2023 Jeff worked with such luminaries as Academy Award nominee Harvey Keitel, Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr., and Academy Award presenter Sean Young on various films.
In 2024 Grindstone/Lionsgate released female-led action thriller "Dominique," which Jeff executive produced. Sci-fi thriller "Angels Fallen: Warriors of Peace" (starring Cuba Gooding Jr., Randy Couture, and Denise Richards), also executive produced by Jeff, became the #1 watched movie on Amazon Prime.
