Logic goes for a toss in director Ben Meyerson’s Lies My Babysitter Told, an atrocious movie by all means. I mean, even Lifetime movies look like masterpieces compared to this one. I have a penchant for bad movies, and this one pretty squarely falls into the ‘so bad that it’s good category,’ so I cannot say I suffered much. But maybe that’s not the case for you, and if you are unfortunate enough to have watched this expecting a good thriller, then I genuinely feel bad. However, in case you are experiencing some confusion over the plot and especially the ending of Lies My Babysitter Told, this article is going to sort that out for you.

Exclusive: Rick Cosnett, who has appeared on CW’s The Vampire Diaries and The Flash as well as ABC’s Quantico, will star in The Wrong Husband, an indie film directed by Ben Meyerson.
It follows Melanie who, one day, notices that her husband Derrick is… different. And her hunch is right. Derrick is not Derrick – he’s Alex, Derrick’s identical twin, back to steal the life that was once rightfully his.
Cosnett will play both Derrick and Alex, identical twins who were separated as children, and their personalities couldn’t be more different. Derrick is a kind and caring man, while Alex is the other side of the same coin.
Carla Woods is producing the film which will shoot in Los Angeles.
The Zimbabwean-Australian actor is repped by Innovative and manager Bob McGowan.

If you are old enough to remember the good old days of renting out horror movies on videos you’ll remember the joy of watching the trailers for new releases, even if you’d seen them many times before. There was a lot of work put into them and they did their job well. One I always remember seeing and it left me wanting more was the trailer for Society, just a shame I never managed to get it. Now though, with Arrow Video’s Blu-ray release, I finally get to see the film in all its gory glory.

Arrow Video unveils one of the most impressive Blu-ray packages of 2015 with its remastered presentation of Brian Yuzna’s languished body horror classic Society. Completed in 1989, along with the writer/producer’s sophomore effort Bride of Re-Animator, his debut wouldn’t see theatrical release in the Us until 1992, several months after David Cronenberg unveiled similar monstrous sphincter designs in the celebrated Naked Lunch. Though it’s generated a loyal cult following, and was treated to a 2002 DVD release that’s long been out of print, Yuzna’s class conscious metaphor still manages to unsettle with its inspired gross-out spectacle, gifting audiences a finale every bit as memorable as Cronenberg’s early provocations.

Brian Yuzna's 1989 horror Society is out on Blu-ray from Arrow Films. Ryan takes a look back at a grotesque satire...
Bill Whitney’s just an ordinary American high school kid. Sure, he may live in a Beverly Hills mansion. He might drive a brand new Jeep to the beach. But deep down, he has the same hang-ups as most teenagers: he distrusts authority, resents his parents, and suspects that he might actually be adopted.
Gradually, however, we suspect that there might be something more to Billy’s paranoid fantasies than raging hormones - his parents really do seem to be up to something sinister - something to do with private parties, naked orgies, and shunting...
